Comfort Research expands leadership team

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Seating product manufacturer Comfort Research has expanded its leadership team with the addition of Todd Tjoelker, a global product development and enterprise growth professional.Todd Tjoelker

Tjoelker will be responsible for driving industry adoption and growth of Comfort Research’s new Orahh Technology – a proprietary lightweight molded foam the company has used in everything from furniture frame designs to outdoor, pool and recreational product concepts.

With 20 years of experience in business management, engineering and oversight of product launches, Tjoelker most recently served as the sales director of advanced tech, growth and digital solutions at GE Aviation, where he focused on aviation, mobility, drones and autonomous markets.

“We got our start 20 years ago making bean bag furniture, but over the years our Big Joe brand has evolved well beyond the furniture world,” said Matt Jung, FABulator and co-founder at Comfort Research. “With the addition of Todd and his ability to drive consumer-focused products with Orahh technology, we believe our Big Joe brand will grow into new markets and be introduced to a ton of new consumers.”

Comfort Research is a lifestyle, product design and manufacturing company that creates seating products for both indoors and outdoors, and the pool/lake product market. Their comfortable products are filled with house-made beans, recycled shredded foam, or molded with its patented Orahh Technology.
